The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has set a base price of $170 million for the media rights to the Asia Cup. The auction, which is scheduled for November 1, will see the bidding being done for the rights to the elaborate media coverage of Men’s Asia Cup, Women’s Asia Cup, Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup, Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup, and Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
The media rights will be sold to the highest bidder for a period of 8 years running from 2024 to 2031. The next edition of the Asia Cup will be held in India in 2025 (T20 format), followed by Bangladesh in 2027 (ODI format), Pakistan in 2029 (T20 format), and finally Sri Lanka, which will host the tournament in ODI format.The ACC has announced that the winner will be determined through an e-auction. The interested parties will have to submit their technical bids by October 30 in Dubai.
