Somdev Devarman dan Purav Raja menyeret NFL ke Pengadilan Tinggi Delhi karena melanggar hukum

Somdev Devvarman and Purav Raja has dragged the All India Tennis Association (AITA) to Delhi High Court for violating Sports Code. Just mere days before the electios of the AITA, the duo have dragged the apex Tennis body of the country for being ‘serial offender’ in violating the Sports Code.

Somdev Devvarman, the former India number 1 and his former doubles partner has claimed that the several Sports Code violations were done by the AITA. Furthermore, the duo have also alleged that the Sports Ministry too never made any efforts to check if the AITA complies with the Sports Code.

Somdev, Purav Raja drag AITA to Delhi High Court

The duo has charged the AITA for ‘lack of any seats for athletes in the Central Council / General Assembly of AITA, lack of any mechanism for athletes to elect eminent sportspersons of outstanding merit to represent them in the Central Council / General Assembly, lack of reservation of seats for athletes in the Executive Committee and lack of any mechanism whereby athletes are elected from the Central Council / General Assembly to the Executive Committee,’ as reported by the Indian Express.

‘(Sports) Ministry has never once made efforts to ascertain if AITA is in compliance with the SportsCode… and has turned a blind eye to multiple patent violations,’ are the further claims made by the duo.

The AITA and the players have been involved in numerous rows off late. With Indian tennis at an all time low, the AITA has blamed the players for not taking part in tournaments. On the other hand, the players too have defended their actions and have blamed the AITA on numerous occasions.
